Does twitter get traffic to your site? It appears so

Based on traffic to my posterous.com site, I'd say "yes!" Here's why I think that:

If you check out most of the posts here, they have less than a dozen views. However, one post has over 200 views. Why is that? Simple: twitter

Unlike the other posts, the post I wrote on Facebook privacy I also tweeted. I think because it had information valuable to many people, 5 other people retweeted it. As a result, alot more traffic went to that blog post than others.

I am also going to tweet this blog post, but I think it will get alot less traffic. For one thing, the Facebook privacy post was very topical and of concern to many. The subject of this blog post: not so much. Still, we'll see.

Interesting, I actually had a similar idea, where I just lump all my many different feeds into one spot. I am still going to do it anyway because it is a mental exercise for me plus I want to be able to choose my own domain, rather than trajano.something.com
